One of the peculiarities of the Bages region are the vats and vineyard huts, dry stone constructions that were necessary for farmers to rest from their continued work in the field, to store agricultural tools or to protect themselves from the inclement weather.
With the remarkable expansion of the cultivation of wines in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries many huts were build in Catalonia.
These are constructions that define very well the slow and heavy work in the field and are today the dumb witness of the passage of generations.
